FIRST BOOK

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was actually the first book written in the series. It is labelled as number 2 because C.S Lewis went back later on the create a prologue because this book was so popular.
WORLD WAR II
3 girls who stayed with Lewis
During World War II, 3 girls were sent to live with C.S Lewis himself to get away from the bombings. This is what inspired his story, 'the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe'.
CHRISTIAN ALLEGORY
Aslan = Christ
Aslan sacrificing himself and then bringing salvation to Narnia is meant to mirror the death and resurrection of Christ himself.
